Poetry Festival

In March 2020 Wisbech Reads held it's first poetry festival. This included a poetry roadshow, a team from Wisbech Reads visited 10 primary schools and held three sessions with year 2 children.  The children, listened to poetry, choose poetry and wrote poetry.

The poems written by the children will all be put into a Wisbech Reads poetry book. Links to the poems are further down this page.

On the 16th and 17th March Thomas Clarkson students from all year groups worked with professional poet and rap battler Mark Grist.  They watched Mark perform and then produced their own poetry.

Sadly the poetry festival came to a stop due to the Covid-19 lockdown, however due to its success Wisbech Reads aims to run this again in 2021.
